During the Northeast U.S. Canyons Expedition 2013, while exploring between Veatch and Nantucket Canyons off the New England coast, we saw many deep-sea red crabs on the seafloor throughout the dive. This one was digging through the sediment, likely searching for food, when a wayward gastropod wandered in front of it (the snail was not harmed or eaten, at least while we were observing!).
