December 6, 2021: Squat Lobster
A squat lobster hides within the crevice of a large stalked glass sponge in the genus Caulophacus. Seen during a dive to explore a sharp ridge that extended west from East Salmon Bank as part of the 2015 Hohonu Moana: Exploring Deep Waters off Hawaii expedition.
