This silvery fish (Hoplostethus sp.), seen during Dive 01 of the second Voyage to the Ridge 2022 expedition at a depth of 786 meters (2,579 feet), is a member of the family Trachichthyidae, which includes slimeheads and roughies. This one measured about 10 centimeters (4 inches) in length.
