Remotely operated vehicle Deep Discoverer (D2) images a large bamboo coral colony seen during the Windows to the Deep 2019 expedition at a depth of ~891 meters (2,923 feet) within the Stetson Miami Terrace Deep Water Coral Habitat Area of Particular Concern, about 100 miles off the east coast of Florida. The corals, which appeared happy and healthy, were about half the height of D2, which measures 2.6 meters (8.5 feet) tall.
