During Dive 11 of Seascape Alaska 5: Gulf of Alaska Remotely Operated Vehicle Exploration and Mapping expedition, which took place at Cordova Bay, beautiful, dense groves of Pacific red tree corals were observed, as predicted by coral species distribution models. This was a relatively shallow dive which took place at a depth of 310- 485 meters (1,017-1,591 feet).
